Aimmie M. Paraiso started her interest with hair and makeup since the moment she saw Spice Girls on MTV in the early 90’s wanting to become all 5 of the spice members. Her and her family were very fortunate to have been able to move to England in 1995 during the boom of 90’s pop culture where her love for fashion, hair, makeup, art, photography, film, European culture and her eclectic personal style came about. Aimmie started practicing with hair on herself and friends then eventually started to learn to do makeup on her own, making for funny growing pains stories of orange hair, platform sneakers and blue glitter lipstick and the occasional worried teachers call home about my choices. Hair and makeup was only a hobby until her parents took her to Paris to get her hair professionally done at a salon for her birthday not knowing it would sparking a fire within her. The moment she sat in that salon chair with everyone speaking French and herself completely lost in translation, she knew, she wanted to do this as a career. Though that was the most bougiest story ever told, it’s the truth behind the start of her journey. After high school she graduated from Paul Mitchell The School San Diego in 2006 and traveled the world bringing her talents all over but also learning and collecting inspiration from these places. Aimmie has done editorial photoshoots for magazines and print ad campaigns, she has done makeup for television shows and many fashion shows. But her heart is truly happy when she’s able to lend her talents and volunteer a women’s shelters and assist women who need to get back on their feet by doing their hair, makeup and making them feel ready for a new life my empowering themselves from within. Aimmie also studied fashion design & business at Academy of Arts in SF as well as in Art Institute of Seattle, where she later met her husband Bernie. She did many years of traveling and collected experiences all over the world. Then she finally settled down and started Aimmie M. Artistry in 2013 doing hair and makeup from coast to coast doing over 100’s of weddings & special occasions. Aimmie now has her own home studio in gorgeous San Diego, CA ☀️ where she does all her clients as well as her photography, videography and digital creations with her family and husband. Many things are in store and though she has the years of experience behind her she is also willing to learn something new everyday to inspire her in her own business and lifestyle ✨💕🪩
